Lake Keowee

Lake Keowee is a man-made reservoir located in the upstate region of South Carolina, USA. It was created in 1971 by Duke Energy by damming the Keowee River to generate hydroelectric power. The lake covers 18,372 acres and has a maximum depth of 155 feet.
Lake Keowee is a popular recreational destination for boating, fishing, and swimming. It has over 300 miles of shoreline and is surrounded by stunning mountain views. The lake is home to a variety of fish species including largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, and crappie.
